New Kia Hybrid Crossover Coming to Austin in Early 2017

June 8th, 2016 by

When it comes to the new Kia lineup, you get plenty of options in terms of style, and efficiency. Come early 2017, we’re set to see the crossover segment get an extra-efficient boost, with the arrival of the all-new Kia Niro, the automaker’s first hybrid-only crossover.

With the Niro, you’re getting a 1.56-kWh lithium-ion battery which powers the electric motor, which is combined with a gas engine to produce 146 horsepower, 195 pound-feet of torque, and high MPG. With that, the forthcoming Niro also has lots of style, and comfort throughout, so you’re going feel at ease, and confident driving it throughout Austin, TX upon its arrival.

The Niro is set to have features like a seven-inch touchscreen with compatibility for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, while also providing available safety like blind spot monitoring, rear-cross traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, auto emergency braking, and more.

We’re looking forward to the arrival of the new and unique hybrid crossover here in our showroom at Kia of South Austin. We’ll inform you when it arrives next year, and in the meantime, you can come in and take a closer look at all our current vehicles, and we’d be happy to arrange a test drive today.
